At Damico Health, our goal is to reduce malaria’s impact in remote Ugandan communities through comprehensive, community-based interventions. By combining education, prevention, and treatment, we work toward a future where malaria no longer poses a major health threat.
Education is central to our approach. Through outreach, we raise awareness about transmission, prevention, and early symptoms. Communities are taught to use insecticide-treated nets, eliminate mosquito breeding sites, and recognize signs of illness.
Prevention focuses on distributing insecticide-treated nets and ensuring proper use. Treatment complements this effort, with access to effective antimalarials and trained community health workers able to diagnose and manage cases promptly.
Together, these efforts address the root causes of transmission and strengthen access to care, laying the foundation for healthier, more resilient communities.
