Vision and Approach
At Damico Health, we strengthen community health through integrated programs that prevent and manage communicable diseases. Our approach combines vaccination, malaria control, and community education to reduce illness and mortality in underserved Ugandan communities. Education campaigns - designed with local teams - use culturally relevant materials to explain how infections spread and how vaccines and preventive behaviors protect families.
We deliver direct immunization and malaria services through both fixed and outreach clinics, ensuring access even in remote areas. Core vaccines - including yellow fever, HPV, and others - are administered safely in partnership with local organizations that maintain cold-chain infrastructure. In parallel, malaria interventions focus on distributing and monitoring the proper use of insecticide-treated nets, community-based vector control, and timely diagnosis with effective antimalarial treatment.
By combining education, prevention, and treatment, Damico Health creates a holistic model for communicable-disease control. This evidence-driven approach not only improves health in the communities we serve but also contributes to broader public-health knowledge.
